It’s 5pm and you’re wondering what happened to all those hours in your day. Worse, you feel like you haven’t achieved anything. This can be a major source of stress which frequently results in physical complaints such as headaches, back pain, tight muscles and recurrent illnesses.
Your time-management skills might need some “adjusting”! Here are some tips:
- Set realistic, measurable goals with a time limit to complete a task
- Prioritize tasks based on importance (write them down!)
- Plan ahead by setting up tomorrow’s “to-do” list, to give you peace of mind
- Divide large tasks into smaller, manageable chunks
- Stop multitasking, for example check your emails at set times and not every couple of minutes
- Learn to delegate…and let go
- Learn to say “no”!
- Remember to hydrate, take scheduled breaks to move and stretch
- Schedule time for your weekly chiropractic adjustments to keep your body functioning optimally
